But first of all, I guess I should tell you that I finally decided go natural or transition on the 15th august 2011.
One of the things that has really helped me is protective styling.
These are the styles I've been doing:
1.Full head weaves: with this style ,you have to make sure that at the front and at the back that the braids aren't too tight. Especially if your gonna have it in for a very long time. usually , the night before I'm supposed to get this done i put in a daily leave in conditioning treatment
( organics hair mayonnaise).

2.open or 3/4 weaves: this usually when u leave a section of ur hair out at the front to blend in with weave to make the weave look more like your own.
3.Braids - This is done with expression or any other hair extensions. the thing about this type of hair is that it shouldn't be done to tightly especially around the edges( front and nape) of your hair, because even though you wont really feel the tension as soon as you've had them done . you'll probably feel it the next . LOL this is something I've experienced too many times and regretted.
4. Flat twists: these are really easy and look great ..ooh and easy to maintain.
4. Wigs : personally i think wigs are a bit too much . but since i got the science of black hair book i realised i need to be moisturising and sealing my hair more regularly.
So, for the first time here is a picture of me wearing a wig , i made it myself . the best thing about this style is that i can take it of whenever i want , I usually braid my hair under , it makes it easier to take off without any breakage.
I guess i'll probarbly make another wig , so i'll put up a video tutorial very soon.
